  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience, ideally in an industrial environment.
  • Expertise: You can (or almost can) manage accounting from A to Y — Z is the cherry on top! Strong understanding of analytical and financial processes.
  • Languages: Excellent command of French, both spoken and written. English or Dutch is a strong asset.
  • Technical skills: Excel: comfortable, ideally advanced ; Accounting software: experience with Winbooks and/or BOB. ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Odoo…) is a plus

Public Procurement Buyer Consultant

As a Public Procurement Buyer Consultant at Altesia, you will bring your expertise to a wide variety of clients while strengthening it through exposure to multiple systems, processes, company structures, and sectors. Your mission is to lead and execute purchasing procedures in full compliance with public procurement regulations. You will optimise spending while ensuring legal compliance and the effectiveness of purchased services or supplies.

 

🧾 Key responsibilities

1. Public Procurement Consulting

  • Support clients in analysing their needs and defining an appropriate purchasing strategy.
  • Ensure proper implementation and long-term follow-up of recommended actions.
  • Train internal teams or stakeholders on public procurement procedures, best purchasing practices, and specific tools to enhance their autonomy and efficiency.

2.  Management of Procurement Procedures

  • Analyse internal departments’ needs and define suitable purchasing strategies.
  • Draft tender documents and all procurement materials in full compliance with public procurement rules.

  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and guarantee transparency throughout the entire process.

 

3. Analysis & Negotiation

  • Evaluate received bids based on cost, quality, and timelines.
  • Select suppliers while fully respecting defined criteria and regulatory obligations.

 

4. Contract Monitoring & Management

  • Oversee contract execution and ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Manage potential disputes with suppliers.

5. Optimisation & Reporting

🔍 What We’re Looking For

🎓 Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in management, law, procurement, or equivalent. A specialisation in public procurement is an asset.

📊 Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or in public procurement management.

🗣️ Languages Excellent written and spoken command of French and/or English or Dutch.

📚 Technical Skills:

Procurement Consultant

We are looking for our future Altesia colleague with a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or Management, and at least 3–4 years of experience in Procurement—ideally with a first experience in consulting.

🧾 Key responsibilities

Depending on the missions assigned by our clients, you may:

  • Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and sourcing plans.
  • Manage RFx processes, including vendor identification, bid comparison and analysis, organisation of bid-defence meetings, contract negotiation, and finalisation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to support supplier bidding processes (RFx creation, bid analysis, etc.).
  • Coordinate and conduct vendor bid-defence meetings and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Negotiate scopes of work, budgets, and payment schedules with suppliers.
  • Establish and manage supplier relationships together with internal teams.
  • Support contract development in collaboration with stakeholders and the legal department.

 

For smaller or less structured clients—and depending on your experience—you may also collaborate with Senior Consultants on projects involving the implementation or reorganisation of procurement departments.
