GLORY is a global leader in smart automation solutions, supporting the retail, hospitality and banking industries.

 

In summer 2024, the Finance Manager at Glory Belgium left unexpectedly, creating an immediate gap in a three-person finance team.

 

The Country Head, Didier De Vos, faced the challenge of ensuring business continuity. Hiring a full-time employee quickly was unlikely. A flexible, high-quality, and above all immediate solution was needed.

A quick solution for a complex role

Following the sudden departure of the Finance Manager, Glory Belgium needed to act quickly to secure a critical finance function operating at the crossroads of global requirements and local constraints.

    Identifying a critical and complex need

    The Country Head, Didier De Vos, reached out to Altesia’s Client Relationship Director, Dimitri Hunin, to address the situation. The role to be filled was particularly demanding. While Glory Belgium operates with a lean local finance team, it is also part of a global group with complex reporting standards and cross-functional expectations. The position therefore required a profile capable of combining hands-on execution with the ability to operate in a structured, international environment.

    Immediate onboarding of a suitable profile

    From the very first exchanges, Dimitri Hunin was able to propose a qualified and immediately available consultant. The first Altesia consultant was onboarded without delay and stepped into the role of Financial Controller Belgium, ensuring continuity in finance operations and reporting.

    As the mission advanced, opportunities emerged to enhance team structure, clarify responsibilities, and implement a solid plan for process optimization.

     

    Two other Altesia consultants were progressively brought in:

    • Marie, a proactive junior consultant, established and documented key internal processes while providing operational support.
    • Tine replaced the accountant on long term sick leave.
